Overview

Wireless Apple CarPlay®* and Android Auto* are available across a wide range of 2026 models equipped with Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC/ccNC Lite) or Standard Audio (Display Audio 2.0 Value) infotainment systems.

Feature Availability by Infotainment System

  • ccNC/ccNC Lite (available on EV9, EV6, Sorento, Sorento Hybrid, Sorento Plug-in, K4, K5, Carnival, Carnival Hybrid, Sportage, Sportage Hybrid, and Sportage Plug-in):
    • Apple CarPlay®* Connectivity: wired or wireless
    • Android Auto* Connectivity: wired or wireless
  • Standard Audio (Display Audio 2.0 Value) (available on Seltos LX and Niro LX):
    • Apple CarPlay®* Connectivity: wireless only
    • Android Auto* Connectivity: wired or wireless
  • Navigation (AVN Gen 5.0 Wide) (available on Seltos, Niro, Niro Plug-In, and Niro EV):
    • Apple CarPlay®* Connectivity: wired only
    • Android Auto* Connectivity: wired only

Wireless Setup Procedures

(Example shown: ccNC infotainment system)

  1. On the home screen, select the Phone Projection (1) widget.
  2. Select Add (2).
  3. Connect your phone through Bluetooth® and accept any requests on the phone to connect to Bluetooth®.
  4. Select Yes (4) to connect to Apple CarPlay®* or Android Auto®*.
  5. If the customer’s phone was previously only connected via Bluetooth®, selecting the CarPlay® or Android Auto icon (5) on the Device Connections screen will enable these features.

Troubleshooting Tips

If a message appears on the head unit while using Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto, follow these steps:

  1. Advise the customer to update their mobile device to the latest available operating system version.
  2. Delete the vehicle’s device from the phone.
    a. For Android, go to Settings > Bluetooth®.
    b. For iPhone®, go to Settings > General > CarPlay®.
  3. On the head unit, go to Setup > Device Connections and delete all the paired devices.
  4. Pair the Bluetooth® and Apple CarPlay®* or Android Auto* with the vehicle head unit and customer’s phone again.
