Understanding A/C Automatic Drying

Did you know that the EV6 has an A/C Automatic Drying feature that improves the customer experience by reducing air conditioner odor? This feature operates after vehicle shutoff to remove moisture from the evaporator.

30 minutes after the ignition is switched OFF, the blower motor will operate on level 3 in Fresh mode for at least 3 minutes. Customers can turn this feature on or off using the infotainment screen: Setup > Climate > Climate Features > A/C Automatic Drying.

When the feature is scheduled to operate, a notification will appear on the infotainment screen announcing that the blower will start in 30 minutes.

Certain conditions must be met for A/C Automatic Drying to operate, including:

• A/C must have been used prior to ignition being turned OFF
• 12-volt battery must be sufficiently charged
• Outside temperature must be above a certain level (to preserve battery charge)
