Certain trims of the 2026 EV6, Sportage, Niro, Sorento, Carnival, and K5 feature a Touch-Sensitive Control Panel located beneath the Multimedia Display, allowing drivers to switch between Infotainment and Climate controls with ease. This streamlined design enhances convenience and provides a modern, intuitive user experience.

Infotainment Mode

AVN5W/DA2VNT Head Unit:

  • When Infotainment Mode is selected, the infotainment icon (A) will illuminate
  • Control knobs change to Volume and Tune
  • Capacitive touch buttons change to MAP, NAV, CUSTOM, SEEK, TRACK, RADIO, MEDIA, and SETUP

ccNC Head Unit:

  • The NAV and RADIO buttons from the AVN5W/DA2VNT Head Unit are replaced with HOME and SEARCH

Climate Mode

  • When Climate Mode is selected, the climate icon (B) will illuminate
  • Control knobs change to Driver and Passenger temperate controls
  • Capacitive touch buttons change to DRIVER ONLY (if equipped), A/C, FAN SPEED/AUTO MODE, AIR FLOW DIRECTION, HEAT (if equipped), and SYNC

Sorento (LX Trim Only)

This trim has a slightly different setup compared to other models equipped with a Dual Controller, but the overall functionality remains the same.

Setting the Default Mode

  1. Press and hold the climate or infotainment icon until a menu is displayed
  2. Select a control panel setting
    • OFF: Displays the mode used recently
    • INFOTAINMENT: Defaults to Infotainment mode
    • CLIMATE: Defaults to Climate mode

Additional Notes

  • The FRONT DEFROSTER, REAR DEFROSTER, AUTO CLIMATE, and RECIRCULATION buttons remain the same in both infotainment and climate mode
  • When the vehicle is in ACC mode, only the infotainment mode will be enabled
