Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is critical for more safely working with Kia EV and hybrid high-voltage systems! That means not only wearing rubber-insulating gloves, but also leather glove protectors over them to help prevent cuts and tears.

However, safety protocols don’t stop at simply wearing the right gloves. You also need to check they are in good condition and up to date with the OSHA standards!

Did you know that rubber insulating gloves need to be recertified at least every 6 months? Don’t wait! Check the last inspection date on your gloves today to be sure they’re not due for a test. If it’s time to recertify them, just follow the easy steps in the latest revision of TSB SST-028. It’s quick and simple!

And remember, if you ever forget to wear leather protectors over your rubber gloves, you’ll need to get them recertified before using them again. That’s another OSHA requirement for your safety in addition to the 6-month testing rule.
