KIA P2M Posts Favorite Rear Seat Belt Reminder Features may vary Have you noticed a row or two of indicator lights on some 2023MY and newer vehicles? It looks something like this: This is a new rear seat belt indicator that can inform the driver whether seat belts are fastened or unfastened in the 2nd- and 3rd-row seats. The top row indicates the 2nd-row seating positions, and the bottom row represents the 3rd-row seating positions. How Rear Seat Belt Reminder Works As a reminder, the rear seat belt indicator lights will be on for 6 seconds each time the ignition is turned ON.When you start driving with an unfastened seat belt the indicator light will blink for 70 seconds.If a seat belt is unfastened when driving under 12 mph the indicator light will blink for 70 seconds.If a seat belt is unfastened when driving over 12 mph, the indicator light will blink.
