Features may vary
Available on certain trims of 2025 Telluride, Sorento, K4, K5, Carnival, Seltos, and Niro vehicles, the Capacitive Touch Door Handles feature eliminates the hassle of rummaging through bags or pockets to find a key fob and instead uses the simplicity of touch to unlock and lock doors.

Capacitive Touch Door Handles have sensors on the inside of the exterior door handles that detect the touch of fingers to unlock the driver’s door, all doors, and tailgate.

To Unlock the Door
From the outside, with the Smart Key fob within range, reach into and pull the handle (A).

To Lock the Door
From the outside, with the Smart Key fob within range, touch the indentation on the door handle (B).
Notes
·      The indentation on the door handle will only lock the vehicle. It will not unlock it like older Kia models.
·      Wait until you hear a sound indicating the door is unlocked prior to pulling the handle.
·      With 2-Press unlock enabled, touch the exterior door handle once to unlock the driver’s door. If you touch the door handle again, all doors and the liftgate/trunk will unlock. To enable or disable this feature, go to Vehicle Settings in the infotainment system.

Thank you for your efforts to ensure that our customers understand the technologies in their vehicle!
Sincerely,
