Kia remains committed to enhancing driver convenience through ADAS*, or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems*, features. If equipped, Lane Following Assist* (LFA/LFA2) and Lane Keeping Assist* (LKA) can help prevent lane departures. Let’s delve into the functionality of each of these features and demonstrate how they can be easily activated directly from the steering wheel on equipped models.

Lane Following Assist* (LFA/LFA2)

  • Purpose: LFA* and LFA2* are designed to use a front-view camera to detect lane markings and vehicles on the road. Under certain conditions, they may assist with steering and help center the vehicle in the detected lane.
  • How to Activate: Press the Lane Driving Assist button (1) on the steering wheel.
    • The indicator light (2) will appear on the cluster.

Lane Keeping Assist* (LKA)

  • Purpose: LKA* is designed to warn the driver if the vehicle is detected leaving the lane without the turn signal. Under certain conditions, it may automatically assist with steering to help prevent lane departure.
  • How to Activate: Press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button (1) on the steering wheel.
    • The indicator (3) will appear on the cluster.
