EV9’s Gearshift & Push Button Start

Did you know the EV9 comes with a cool steering column gearshift featuring an integrated push button start?

 It’s important that you explain the following steps during delivery, so your customers understand how to operate this feature!

1. The Steering Column Gearshift is located to the right of the steering wheel, below the wiper stalk. Show this to your customers and point out the Push Button Start that is located at the base of the column (closest to the steering column).
2. Explain that the Steering Column Gearshift system is an electronically controlled shifter system. You cannot shift when the 12-volt battery is discharged.
3. With the brake depressed and the vehicle in P (Park), twist the end of the stalk to change positions to D (Drive) or R (Reverse). To engage P (Park), depress the brake, stop the vehicle, and press in the button at the end of the stalk.
4. To shift into N (Neutral), shift the gear up from R (Reverse) or down from D (Drive).
5. Car Wash Mode: Before leaving the vehicle, press the P (Park) button. Turn the engine OFF. Twist the end of the stalk forward or backward by one step for one second to engage N (Neutral).
