When using the EV6 (CV) V2L connector, you may need to review the following tips and information to help you operate it and troubleshoot any issues.

External V2L Locking/Unlocking Tips
  • While using the external V2L, the V2L connector is always locked.
  • After the doors are unlocked and V2L operation is stopped, the V2L connector unlocks.
  • Select or unlock the AC charge cable in the USM (as shown in the screenshot below).
Internal V2L Operation Tips
  • The internal V2L cover is normally closed. Use the mechanical key in the fob to unlock the cover (as shown in the screenshot below, “A”), then slide the cover to the side to reveal the socket.
  • The following conditions are necessary to use the internal V2L:
External V2L is not connectedExternal V2L is connected
These conditions must still be met:
• READY status or Utility Mode
• Charge door is closed
Internal V2L can be used with external V2L
by pressing the internal V2L switch to turn on the LED
V2L Cluster Messages

The following messages may be displayed on the cluster. To troubleshoot, refer to the helpful hints of the three possible cluster messages.

Discharge Limit:
• The V2L may not work if the limit is not set properly in the AVN (within the Energy Information screen).
Usage Limit Exceeded:
• Power usage may not exceed 1.8 kW.
V2L Operating Conditions Not Met If:
• External V2L switch is OFF.
• Internal V2L connector temperature is too high.
• Charge door is opened with an internal V2L in use.
