KIA P2M Posts Favorite EV6 Battery Conditioning Mode Upgrade Features may vary, simulated screen shown Some 2022 EV6 (CV) vehicles produced from 11/17/2021 through 10/21/2022 have an available BMS software update to install a Battery Conditioning Mode function. What Is Battery Conditioning Mode? This function is designed to optimize DC charging* performance in low outdoor temperatures by allowing the EV battery to preheat prior to arriving at a DC charger* site. This battery conditioning occurs when the EV battery temperature is below 68°F and requires a DC charger site to be selected as a point of interest (POI) in the navigation system. Guidance on Installing the Upgrade If new software is installed and “Winter Mode” is displayed under “EV Settings,” confirm that ELE292/SA533 has been completed and that the latest “MapCare” version is updated by referring to TSB ELE208 for the “Battery Condition Mode” to become available. This update is only to be performed if specifically requested by the customer and must be clearly documented on the Repair Order (RO) that it is being performed “per customer request.” This procedure is covered under limited warranty, and please see TSB ELE291 on KGIS for complete details.
