Regenerative braking* can help keep customers on the road for longer, potentially saving them money on electric fueling costs. This makes regenerative braking* a key aspect of the EV ownership experience. That’s why the EV6 comes equipped with a standard Adjustable Regenerative Braking* System to capture the kinetic energy created while braking or decelerating that would otherwise be lost. The energy is stored in the EV battery for use—helping to potentially extend the overall driving range*. To ensure they get the most out of their EV, make sure you explain the system’s operation and benefits to each customer before they drive off the lot.

Key Benefits

Less Potential Vehicle Maintenance

Regenerative braking* (when activated) uses the electric motor(s) to slow the vehicle down, so the customer doesn’t use the brakes as much. This reduces brake wear and the need to perform brake maintenance as frequently as in an ICE vehicle.

A New Way to Drive

The Adjustable Regenerative Braking* system delivers a unique, distinctly different driving experience from an ICE vehicle. For example, a customer can use regenerative braking* in stop-and-go traffic to drive the car with only the accelerator pedal (known as One-Pedal or i-PEDAL*), reducing the need to move their foot between the accelerator and brake pedals.
