Help customers set up Wireless Apple CarPlay®* and Android Auto* (if equipped) and help get them excited about the connectivity features of their vehicle. Available on certain 2024 models without navigation*, Wireless Apple CarPlay®* & Android Auto* offer connectivity to the infotainment system and allow customers to use navigation* apps, make and receive phone calls, play music, and much more.

Note that Apple CarPlay®* is only available wirelessly with a non-navigation screen, whereas Android Auto* can be used wirelessly or with a USB cable.

Wireless Apple CarPlay®* & Android Auto* Setup Procedure

Android Auto* users: Download and install the Android Auto* app from the Google Play Store*.


On the vehicle’s infotainment screen:

  1. Press the Setup on-screen or Setup hard key.
  2. Seleccionar Device Connections > Phone Projection > Add New.

    On the smartphone device:
  3. Connect the phone through Bluetooth®* and accept any requests on the phone to connect to Bluetooth®*.
  4. Once the phone is connected through Bluetooth®*, accept all requests on the phone to connect Apple CarPlay®* or Android Auto* wirelessly.

    On the vehicle’s infotainment screen:
  5. Seleccionar OK to enable wireless Apple CarPlay®* or Android Auto*.

Troubleshooting

Phone Not Responding Error

The following message may appear on the infotainment screen while using Apple CarPlay®* or Android Auto* in certain locations:

“Phone Not Responding. Please reconnect it and try again.”

Troubleshooting Procedure
  1. Advise the customer to update their device to the latest available phone operating system version.
    • For Android*: Go to Settings > Bluetooth® Connections and delete the vehicle’s device.
    • For iPhone®: Go to Settings > General > CarPlay® and delete the vehicle’s device.
  2. On the vehicle’s infotainment screen:
    • Go to Setup > Device Connection > Bluetooth® Connections and delete all paired devices.
    • Go to Setup > Device Connection > Phone Projection and delete all the paired devices.
  3. Re-pair Bluetooth®* and Apple CarPlay®* or Android Auto* with the vehicle’s infotainment system and the customer’s phone.
