KIA P2M Posts Favorito Using the Sportage Windshield Heater Features may vary, simulated screen shown Did you know both the Sportage (NQ5a) X-Pro™ and X-Pro™ Prestige come equipped with a windshield heater, just like the heated rear glass function? Since there are two heater elements, controlled together, on the left and right sides of the windshield, customers may notice this “mysterious” grid and question its purpose. Here’s the lowdown: To turn the windshield heater on, press the windshield heater button on the switchable controller—not your usual defog/defrost setting. The button lights up, and voila, the heater is ON. Features may vary, simulated screen shown But that’s not all—it’s smart too! The windshield heater automatically turns off after 15 minutes or when the ignition switch or the ENGINE START/STOP button is turned off. Hit the button again within 15 minutes, and it stays on for a little longer (an extra 5 mins). Cool, right? To turn off the windshield heater while it is operating, press the button again. Spread the word to your customers and make sure they’re never left in the cold again! Don’t forget to use KGIS for the latest info, and let’s keep the Kia Technical Training excitement rolling!
