Certain 2025 Kia models are equipped with remote start* which can be operated with the Smart Key fob. Customers can start or stop the engine at the push of a button (4) or lock (1) and unlock (2) the doors from the outside. |
Whether customers want to warm up the car on a cold morning or secure it from afar, the Smart Key fob makes it easy. |
Operating Remote Start* |
- To start, ensure all doors are closed and locked.
- Press the lock button (1) again to confirm the vehicle’s doors are locked. Within four seconds of pressing the lock button, press the remote start* (4) button for more than two seconds.
NOTE: If the remote start* button is not depressed within four seconds of locking the doors, the doors will need to be locked again, and the above steps repeated. - Press the remote start* button again to turn off the vehicle.
Don’t forget! |
- Remote start*will not operate if:
- A door is open or unlocked
- The hood is open
- After remote starting*, the vehicle will run for 10 minutes before turning off.
- On some models, the vehicle may turn off after opening door(s) and/or if the brake pedal is not depressed.
- Do not use remote start* if the vehicle is in an enclosed area (e.g., closed garage) or a partially enclosed area without ventilation. Always close all doors/windows leading from adjacent living areas to the vehicle area before executing a remote start* command.
