How to Use EV6’s Switchable Controller

Customers will find the latest convenience features at their fingertips in Kia’s driver-centric cockpits, including a new switchable controller for climate and infotainment controls now offered on the EV6. This cutting-edge feature combines both sets of controls into a common display. Some customers may find this feature confusing, so it’s key that you are able to demonstrate it for them at Delivery.

Using the Switchable Controller

The switchable controller is located on the dash button panel, right below the hazard button.

1. To switch between the control panel for the Climate Control system and the Infotainment system, locate the Mode Switch button on the left center of the control screen.
   1. The ‘navigation arrow’ is for the infotainment controls
   2. The ‘fan’ is for the climate controls
2. To switch controls, tap the Mode Switch button. The opposite symbol will illuminate, and the corresponding control panel will display.

NOTE: When the vehicle is in the ACCESSORY position, only the infotainment system controls will be active. Turn the vehicle power ON to operate the Climate Control system.

Setting the Default Mode

1. Press and hold the Mode Switch button
2. After several seconds, the control display screen will change and present several options for selecting a default setting.
   1. Off (no default display; maintains last selection)
   2. Infotainment
   3. Climate
3. Press the desired option. The system will then return to the selected display when the other display times out.
