Cargadores y adaptadores NACS

As electric vehicle technology continues to evolve, it’s important to help customers understand how and where they can charge their EVs, including access to IONNA chargers and other public networks using the right adapters.

Expanded Charging Access

Most public chargers are now accessible with the proper adapter. Some 2025MY and 2026MY Kia EVs are equipped with new North American Charging Standard (NACS) ports, replacing the previous Combined Charging System (CCS1) port found on earlier models.

What to Know

• NACS-equipped vehicles are compatible with many (but not all) AC Level 2 and DC Level 3 NACS chargers.
• CCS1-equipped vehicles can access the same chargers by using the appropriate Kia-approved NACS adapter, available through Mobis Parts America (MPA).
• Always use Kia-approved adapters. Using an unapproved or incorrect adapter may prevent charging even if the connector fits physically.

Compatibility Reminder

V1 and V2 Tesla Superchargers are not compatible with any Kia vehicles, even when adapters are used, due to differences in communication protocols.
