With the launch of the 2024 Seltos, let’s discuss two of the Important to Explain (ITE) features: Lane Keeping Assist* (LKA) and Lane Following Assist* (LFA).

By understanding how these features work and explaining to customers how to activate these Kia Drive Wise* features, you can help increase customers’ satisfaction with their new vehicle.

Lane Keeping Assist* (LKA)

Builds on Lane Departure Warning*. In certain circumstances, when a lane departure is detected, the system is designed to automatically assist with steering to help prevent the vehicle from leaving the lane.

  • To activate LKA*, press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button (A) on the steering wheel.
  • If LKA* is activated, the indicator light (B) will be displayed on the cluster (see images below).

Lane Following Assist* (LFA)

Builds on Lane Departure Warning*, Lane Keeping Assist* and includes Driver Attention Warning*. It is designed to follow detected lane markings and can provide steering to help maintain the vehicle within the lane.

  • To activate LFA*, press and release the Lane Driving Assist button (A) located on the steering wheel.
  • The white or green indicator light (C) will appear on the cluster (see images below).
