Digital Key 2

Digital Key 2 allows drivers to unlock, lock, and start their Kia using a compatible smartphone or smartwatch, no physical key required. It also supports sharing keys with others across different wallet apps, such as Apple Wallet, Samsung Wallet, or Google Wallet. This upgraded system uses Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), in addition to NFC, for improved convenience and security.

Compatible Devices

• Manzana^®: iPhone 11 and later, iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max and later, iPhone 12 Mini and later, Apple Watch Series 8+ (latest iOS required)
• Samsung^®: Galaxy S21+ 5G and later, S21 Ultra 5G and later, Note20 5G and later, Z Flip 5G and later, Fold 2 and later (latest Android OS & Samsung Wallet app required)
• Google^®: Pixel 7 Pro and later (latest Android OS & Google Wallet app required)

Nota: Digital Key 2 is not supported on Samsung or Google Smartwatches.

Activation Procedure

Nota: Enrollment in the Kia Connect Ultimate Package is required for Digital Key 2 smartphone activation.

1. Ensure the smartphone device and key fob are inside the vehicle and turn the vehicle ON.
2. Open the Kia Access App, tap the Características tab, then select Digital Llave.
3. On the Digital Llave Activation screen, select Crear clave de propietario and follow the prompts until Continuar to Wallet App appears.
4. Seleccionar Continuar a la aplicación Wallet and follow the instructions in Apple Wallet, Samsung Wallet, or Google Wallet to add the car key.

Consejo: Smartphones with Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) can activate Digital Key 2 without navigating infotainment settings. For NFC-only devices, follow the in-vehicle infotainment prompts.

Sharing Digital Keys

Digital Key 2 allows car keys to be shared with others, even across different operating systems. For more details on sharing keys and managing Digital Key 2 Touch, visit owners.kia.com.
