Rear View Monitor Camera Settings

Some customers may be concerned when their rear view camera image stays on the screen after they shift out of Reverse (R).

Kia vehicles equipped with the Extended Rear View Camera are designed to keep the backup image visible when shifting from Reverse to Neutral (N) or Drive (D). The image stays on the screen until the vehicle exceeds 6 mph, helping drivers stay aware of their surroundings when rolling forward at slow speed in a crowded parking lot such as after a concert or sporting event.

If a customer prefers the traditional behavior—where the camera view disappears as soon as the gear is shifted out of Reverse—this feature can be easily turned off in the vehicle’s infotainment settings.

Important Notes

• This feature is not available on vehicles equipped with Surround View Monitor^* (SVM).
• When disabled, the rear camera view will only display while in Reverse.

How to Adjust the Setting

1. Seleccionar Setup on the infotainment screen (or the physical Setup button on the ccNC display)
2. Seleccionar Display
3. Seleccionar Camera Settings
4. Seleccionar Display Contents
5. Select the Extended Rear View Monitor checkbox to disable or enable the feature

2. Seleccionar Display
3. On the left, scroll down to select Extended Rear Camera Use
4. Select the Extended Rear Camera Use checkbox to disable or enable the feature
