Operating EV6’s Automatic Flush Door Handles

2024 EV6’s sleek design is complemented by Automatic Flush Door Handles on the GT and GT-Line trims that lend to its aerodynamic profile. These trims feature Automatic Flush Door Handles that automatically pop out and retract in certain conditions. These handles are considered an Important to Explain (ITE) feature. It is essential to explain this feature to customers to ensure they can confidently operate them and adjust their settings, if desired. Let’s take a look!

Automatic Flush Handle Unlock Settings

The driver can unlock the doors as described below:

1. Key Fob One-Press Unlock
   Unlocks and deploys the door handle of the driver’s door only.
2. Key Fob Two-Press Unlock
   Unlocks and deploys the door handles on all four doors.

ACTION STEPS
There are two ways to activate or deactivate this system.

Infotainment System

1. Seleccionar Setup on the infotainment screen
2. Press Vehicle Settings
3. Seleccionar Door, then Two Press Unlock
4. Press Two Press Unlock to activate or deactivate the system

Key Fob

1. Press and hold the door lock and unlock button on the key fob until the hazard lights flash
2. The two-press unlock feature will be turned to Active
3. Repeat these steps to deactivate it

Locking

Via the Key Fob

1. Close the hood, hatch, and all doors
2. Press the door lock button on the key fob
3. The hazard warning lights will blink and the handles are designed to retract into the door in response

Via the Door Handle

1. Ensure the key fob is within 28 to 40 inches of the vehicle, such as in your pocket or bag
2. Close the hood, hatch, and all doors
3. Touch the sensor, which is marked by the small recessed area, on the door handle
   • The hazard warning lights will blink with an auditory alarm and the handles are designed to retract into the door

Unlocking

Via the Key Fob

1. Approach the vehicle
2. Press the door lock button on the key fob once or twice, depending on the unlock setting
3. All four door handles are designed to pop out in response

Via the Door Handle

1. Ensure the key fob is within 28 to 40 inches of the vehicle, such as in your pocket or bag
2. Touch the sensor, which is marked by the small, recessed area, on the door handle once or twice, depending on the unlock setting
3. All four door handles are designed to pop out
