Pin Number and Signal 110V-220V AC (-)110V-220V AC (+)Control PilotProximity DetectionGround400~1000V DC (-)400~1000V DC (+) Pins 1, 2, and 5 These three pins are pretty much what you would find in a household outlet. Pin 3 The Control Pilot (CP) pin communicates the charging status between the VCMS and charger. AC charging uses a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal.DC charging uses PWM and a power line communication (PLC) signal.PLC signals include SOC, temperature, remaining charge time, and payment information. Pin 4 The Proximity Detection (PD) pin communicates charge adapter connection: 4.45V = not connected1.5V = connected2.8V = V2L (Onboard Power Generator*) adapted button pressed Pins 6 and 7 These pins are used for DC Fast Charging* current.
