KIA P2M Posts Favorito 2023 Niro Hybrid’s Battery Reset 2023 Niro Hybrid SX Touring shown Customers may not know that the 2023 Niro (SG2) Hybrid is equipped with a Battery Reset feature to help preserve the life of their vehicle’s 12V auxiliary battery! If there is a parasitic draw that is detected draining the 12V Lithium-ion polymer battery when the ignition is OFF, the Battery Reset is designed to disconnect the circuit to prevent further discharge. In case the Niro Hybrid will not go into “Ready” mode—possibly due to parasitic draw—pressing the 12V BATT RESET button will get the vehicle into “Ready” mode unless there are other underlying issues. After pressing the button, start the vehicle within 15 seconds or it will need to be pressed again.
