Let’s review the steps for taking the EV6 through an automated car wash, as it may be a bit different from what some of your customers are used to. While being operated, the EV6 is generally in Ready mode. This means safety systems and ADAS* features are active and may, in certain situations, apply the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) and/or shift into Park (P) (e.g., when doors are opened, seatbelts are unlatched, or vehicle rollback is detected). This can cause issues when using an automated car wash—particularly when the vehicle is sent through without a driver. To avoid this, the EV6 must first be shifted into NEUTRAL (N) in ON mode before entering an automated car wash.
